English-language courses & Excellence programmes

We offer you a unique programme in which you can rise above the top and make your international dreams come true. We are happy to explain what we have to offer!

Within Albeda College Economics & Business we offer two English language programmes at our centrally located location Zuster Hennekeplein (right next to Rotterdam Central Station): International business studies & International marketing and event studies. These two programmes focus entirely on international business and help you realise your international ambitions. In both programmes you follow an excellence track: Certificate of Excellence in European Business behaviour and Democraty (EBBD) or BTEC.

International business studies (IBS)

International business studies focuses on international trade and international business. Approximately 80% of the course is taught in English. You will learn business and develop skills related to entrepreneurship, marketing, sales, research, commercial calculation, cultures, languages and import and export. As the only ROC in the Netherlands, Albeda offers you the choice between one of two excellence programmes in the 2nd year: EBBD or BTEC. Watch the programme video.

International event and marketing studies (IEMS)

The programme focuses more specifically on the creation of internationally oriented events. This programme is also taught for about 85% in English. In this programme, you will learn and develop skills related to all aspects that are important in event organisation. Other subjects covered in the programme are: marketing, conceptual thinking, sustainability, it, cultures, languages and research. Attention is paid to the growing opportunities of online and hybrid events. In this programme, you follow the BTEC excellence trajectory. Watch the programme video.

Languages
Of course in an international programme you'll be taught in several languages. Besides English, you will choose a second foreign language: Spanish or German. Cultures
The international character of our programme doesn't end at learning languages. If you want an international career, it is important to get to know different cultures. We do not only pay attention to this in the lessons. Internships abroad in China, France, Spain, Germany and England, practical development opportunities & projects, two-week pop-up schools abroad plus other professional international events enhance every aspect of your international Albeda experience. You'll also regularly attend international events at the school.
